 Litigation Support

After the Report of Findings (see Computer Forensics) has been reviewed by the attorney and/or client, a series of events will take place in order for all parties to be prepared and ready for trial.

PREPARATION MEETINGS

During these meetings (usually two to three), the examiner will work with the attorney to establish a timeline, explain the evidence and the supporting details, and discuss possible case strategies.

Because of our length of time in this industry, we have been exposed to over 400 civil and criminal cases. The work dedicated to these cases has provided extensive experience for our examiners.

Midwest Data Group is also available to assist with the writing of motions, affidavits and acknowledgements, which may be required during the legal process.

EXHIBITS

During the preparation meeting, the examiner will discuss with the attorney and/or client the possibility of using demonstrative tools or exhibits. These exhibits will assist the attorney and/or jury during the trial and have proven to be very effective.

Midwest Data Group, LLC is experienced with creating valuable and professional exhibits, while insuring they are clear and simplified so they are effective for all audiences.

PRE-TRIAL MEETING

During this final meeting prior to trial, Midwest Data Group will assist the attorney and/or client using a “mock” trial procedure. We will confirm that the attorney is familiar with and understands the evidence, along with answering any remaining questions he/she might have.

We will review the timeline and exhibits to ensure they are accurate, need no further changes and are introduced appropriately. We will follow-up with the court and/or judge's office to ensure there are no additional requirements and/or changes we need to consider. Finally, the examiner will work with the attorney to discuss the testimony of the Expert Witness.
